Last week, our Farm to School Corps Member, Maggie, helped students at Homer Brink Elementary School get seeds started for the Spartan Garden! Over the next month they will be taking care of their seedlings in the classroom and doing experiments. Some classrooms will be singing to their seedlings, while others will be reading to them, and they will see if there was any difference in growth compared to seedlings that aren’t getting as much attention. Students are looking forward to getting their hands dirty again on Planting Day which will happen at the end of May!
